They do actually spend money on stopping animal cruelty. I wasn't aware you've done a cost/benefit analysis on a public awareness campaign, clearly you know how they should spend their money better than they do.

Okay using the old Collingwood cliché, just shows what a genius I'm trying to argue with :$

No you didn't directly say it, but we both know it's exactly what you implied and now you're backtracking from yet another embarrassing statement
Given the recent charities that do public awareness who have rocketing administration costs which have now been called out on certain sites. Yes, Duritz might have a point.

Do you remember the people behind Kony and how he spent some of the "administration" costs of that campaign? Some charities spend a ridiculous amount on administration and a substantially lower amount is donated to the cause.

Oh right, here's that "opinion" of yours again. You're really not very good at this whole discussion caper. You must realise that at some point you actually have to have this little thing people call "facts", rather than just your "opinion". Right now, this is exactly how you seem:

It's the "vibe" of what I was saying, was it?

Give us more of your "opinion", can you? It's giving me great delight.

Ignore my whole post then highlight one sentence and write a whole paragraph about why it's wrong.

The tell tale signs of desperation, you're floundering kid :$

Why don't you tell us exactly what point you were making with that Starving Horse article then?

I'm sorry but we're talking about a billboard and now you're bringing up Kony?

Getting your message out to the general public is CRITICAL in changing how things operate

I've already told you my point. Why don't I just quote where I already told you it? That way I won't have to repeat myself:

the money they spend on billboards raising "awareness" would be far better spent actually stopping cruelty.

That is such a stupid line of argument... really

Nutjobs who think any money charities spend on getting their message out to the general public is wasted... just cringe worthy TBH, shows a complete ignorance to how the world (and marketting in general) works

Tip: if one is to suggest oneself as some sort of knowledgeable person on marketing, one might want to start with knowing how to spell it. :$

No, I'm bringing up the point that you said that Duritz doesn't know how to spend money better than the Charities. Duritz might be more capable than some public awareness companies at spending their cash on doing things that stop and alert people about Cruelty.

One example of a charity is the RSCPA. They provide animal shelters and have a task force to deal with animal cruelty and they raise animal cruelty awareness at the same time.

I provided examples of a website that self-regulates charities that spend a large amount on administration costs and mentioned Kony as an example of public awareness that had high administration costs according to that website.

You made that point. Stop misdirecting and actually engage the argument.

That's his modus operandi. Make shit up, misdirect, generalise.

Congratulations on showing how incredibly ignorant and biased you are on the matter

Yeah, apart from the ruined families, suicides and wrecked lives gambling really doesn't bother anyone :drunk:

And how many of those are there?

People like you are the problem. I've never seen a poker machine pull its own reel. You give the gambler an out, "its not my fault. It's the machine's fault, they said so. I have no power over what I am doing".

And betting on horses is a game of skill anyway.

That's one of the many ways it differs from pokies ,where the game is fixed.

I will point out I wouldnt no give two shits if Poker Machine were gone.

And I do disagree with the way they are made. The odds should be the chances, that should be legislated. The house must be able to lose to make it fair.

But horse racing or sports bettting is a totally different story.
