Thursday 14th February 2019 7:30pm AEDT

Hobart coming off a loss to the Thunder while Melbourne are riding high after annihilating the Sixers. The 'Canes will also have to avoid the minor premiership hoodoo where 5 of the 7 minor premiers have lost in the semi final.

Have a feeling this might be the match to watch. In the BBL08 and the winner of this match wins the GF.
Hurricanes have been the team to beat this season.Lead by the dynamic opening pair of left handers. If anyone can turn it on and beat Hobart it's the Stars. With potential match winners in there team.

quick cut & paste job from cricinfo:

Melbourne Stars have won the flip and will bowl first

Hobart Hurricanes 1 Matthew Wade (capt & wk), 2 D'Arcy Short, 3 Caleb Jewell, 4 Ben McDermott, 5 George Bailey, 6 Simon Milenko, 7 James Faulkner, 8 Jofra Archer, 9 Clive Rose, 10 Qais Ahmad, 11 Riley Meredith

Melbourne Stars 1 Marcus Stoinis, 2 Ben Dunk, 3 Peter Handscomb (wk), 4 Glenn Maxwell (capt), 5 Nic Maddinson, 6 Dwayne Bravo, 7 Seb Gotch, 8 Evan Gulbis, 9 Adam Zampa, 10 Daniel Worrall, 11 Sandeep Lamichhane

So James Faulkner replaces David Moody for the Hurricanes and Evan Gulbis comes in for Jackson Bird in the Stars' XI

I'm going with a Stars W. If that happens I think the fixture will be changed to an IPL format, especially considering the Scorchers' fate last year.

This’ll be another Richmond b Collingwood prelim type thing.
Stars will s**t in.

No chance. Will be impossible to get Wade or Short out, umpires will be under strict instructions. Even if you bowl them they’ll make a very late no ball call...

Weather report: Stars to shine brighter as the night progresses with no chance or hurricanes. At least I hope so. Got on Stars a few weeks back at 15-1 for outright.
