It’s two months. No one complains about the length of the premier league and that’s 5 times as long
Does anyone in Australia other than a few diehards actually give a s**t about the Premier League?

Too many duds playing.
Give each team three overseas players.
if Liverpool don't win their first ever EPL title this season, I might no longer be one of those diehardsDoes anyone in Australia other than a few diehards actually give a s**t about the Premier League?
Cricket is one of the only sports where the premier competition is international, rather than league based. The second issue is one of the formats takes 5 full days rather than 3 hours. So you have the tyrannies of distance and time to consider when it comes to scheduling. That said, perhaps it could be argued that domestic and international cricket are more intertwined than most other sports and that perhaps that raises unique problems.
Whilst I'm not privy to it, it might actually be in the contract between the broadcasters and CA.I'd just like more double-headers in the BBL, that would be a good start. And is there a rule that says two BBL games cannot be played at the same time?
Teams struggled to attract quality internationals this year as it was
Or they weren't searching hard enough.
I believe the former
I think what you mean was that teams struggled to attract big name internationals this year.
There's undervalued T20 cricketers out there in domestic leagues who should be getting contracts.
Here is the BBL|08 schedule. The last Sheffield Shield round was December 7-10. International games are shaded yellow. Don't see why there was no BBL between Dec 11 and 18. The schedule could have been easily sped up to finish the season a week early, and that's without really trying.

It's definitely s**t that the season is so much longer but we have kept the knockout finals, it's like the finals are a mere afterthought to the group stage. Let's take forever to get through the season, but quick, let's get the finals over with asap.Great idea but make the normal season shorter.
In terms of the fairness or otherwise of the finals in its current format, I'm not so sure about changing to the IPL system. Instead, I'd look at scrapping the bat flip and letting home team decide who bats first.
