Totally agree with this. We shouldn't allow an unfair competition just because we want to see top-class players in the finals.
Imagine coming back to play bbl level after playing against Pakistan, new Zealand and India? Would be a piece of piss, as you could see with Hazlewood's bookselling bowling part night, you rarely see players getting clean bowled like that on bbl.
Imagine Macrae and the Bont were allowed to play in the Footscray VFL finals last year, didn't sound fair does it?
If they had a bbl role similar to the vfl, and Maxwell and Stoinis played the ODI series, they'd still be eligible for finals.

what's your solution for rescheduling our International summer (Tests, ODIs, T20I)? it's easier said than done.

Similar to what other people have said. Reduce the season to play 1 side each, alternating home grounds each year and you’d fit it in fairly easily.. and as unrealistic as it is I’d be merging the two Melbourne and Sydney teams and take it back to a semi state league again, similar to the old one but having the BBL type player movement. The quality of the comp (and crowd numbers) would skyrocket with 30 less players and internationals being able to play all season.
