Bit of a joke that we have to play “home” games at the oppositions home ground. We should get to select either a temporary home venue where all the matches get played or get to pick from a selection of neutral venues for each match. Would even take the BBL selecting neutral venues that suit them. Having a full genuine away schedule is not it

yep a Scorchers v Sixers , Scorchers would much prefer to play that 'home' game in Canberra or even on The Thunder's home ground the Sydney Showgrounds.


Can understand the case for Adelaide or Brisbane where there is only 1 notable ground to cater for TV audiences etc

They wouldn't do that as you wouldn't get any crowds to the neutral venues.
Not like they're getting big crowds now though.

Just have to cop it on the chin.

Makes sense from a revenue standpoint though. More chance of a bigger crowd and more $$$ for the Scorchers (and the WACA) as a result.

If us and freo have to play home games interstate to start the season next year we'll be doing the same imo.
 
Yearly query of why there isn't a christmas day night game. Teams are travelling today, could easily have it in said state, put on a big lunch for both teams + families and play the game at 7-730pm. Would be a ratings bonanza.

Yeah but its going to clash with the National lampoons christmas vacation though.

Christmas wont be the same without witnessing the Griswold family Christmas.
 
Is there any update on the Scorchers v Stars match tomorrow and is it actually going ahead or not? The club has been deadset quiet today about it
