Always thought Wildermuth was a bit of a spud at BBL, but now I think he's okay. Thanks for the points, champ.

Entirely fair too, he averaged 10 with the bat before last night.

I wouldn't call him a pro. Winning bbl supercoach doesn't take skill. It is all down to luck. He lucked out twice. This is a flukey game. You just need the right batters. Like, whoever had Renshaw and Wildermuth will win this round. It could easily have been McSweeney and Wildermuth. Too many variables. It's a luck game.

Whoever is outside top 500 overall after round 2 probably has 0 chance of winning. Guarantee someone in the top 1000 after rd 1 had both Renshaw and Wildermuth and either Connolly or Allen. That has set them up

That wasn't a bowlers game, just about every bowler got smashed but at least Bartlett took a couple of wickets.

Wildermuth got smashed too and only took one wicket but he made up for it by smashing a ton when he batted.

More chance of bowlers getting smashed and not getting bonus economy than batsman based on alot of grounds this season.

Really struggling to see good bowlers in this comp : Xavier Bartlett, Ellis, Jhye Richardson struggling to keep less than 8 runs per over for instance. A ground like the: GABBA, Hobart or Perth - based on the first 6 games , bowling sides will struggle to contain- even at the death.

That might answer part of my question tonight, not sure to keep Bartlett VC for Round 2 given he scored 67 points last night.

I have never rated Ellis in the Big Bash. Good T20 bowler but not a fantasy T20 bowler. He was overpriced at 150.

All fantasy games require luck, but winning twice and consistently being up there has to require some sort of skill

Game can swing wild so being ranked low after Rd 1 or 2 can turn around pretty quickly with one good captain POD

Warner would be tempting but go Sams or Shadab. I would lean Sams. Didn't Sams bat higher in the first game?

Yeah I think I will go with Sams, even when he bowls shit he can still take wickets and he can score quickly when he gets a bat.

I traded Philippe out for Bancroft, he better make a good score, no wickets for Captain Sams either but at least he took a catch.

I have still got Edwards too who got pushed down the order and barely got a bat, a lot of swings and roundabouts in this caper.

If one thing goes to show, loading teams with double game players is not the right strategy. I think no more than 6.

So happy I benched Philippe so I could play Bancroft.

Also i traded out Babar now that’s winning.

I always seem to make the wrong moves.

I really dislike the double game rounds and wish every team played once every round.

Im planning for the long-term. I too had 6 on the field this week for the double players.

Took the VC off Bartlett for Shadab which ended up being a risk-free play despite Shadab scoring slightly lesser points. At least I avoided Daniel Sams.

Most people should be in the same boat so it might not matter too much if you can't cover all of them or it ends up being shortened.

Bad timing with the hurricanes having the double again in round 3 it would be a waist to trade them out in round 2.

It’s been a frustrating start to the season for myself.
