Scorchers were too good. Strikers were well short with the bat. Still think they missed a trick bowling the 4th/5th bowlers after the drinks break, get Turner there and they win but Manenti was easy enough to hit round for 5/6 an over. Thornton's over was obviously poor but the game IMO was close to done by then anyway as the Strikers needed to take 10 wickets to win.

One decent innings saved you. A bit of luck goes the strikers way and Rashid picks up a couple or one of turners chip shots get to a fielder, perth don’t make 100.

Inglis doesn’t chip a straight breaker back to Marenti and Perth win it in 13 overs. Can look at those things both ways

Short bowled 3 overs for 3 wickets last match and only got 2 overs despite getting 2 wickets tonight. Think we should consider giving him 4 overs.

Need every early win we can get knowing Faf is leaving soon.
Bancroft is back though isn't he? A more than adequate replacement. Really, it's the Scorchers title to lose again. I'm not convinced the others are good enough to dethrone them. Despite what people have said, the Strikers are no chance, too reliant on Short to have a big innings.

Bancroft should be playing next game I hope.

Strikers are in it up to their eyeballs.
Head and Carey to come back.
Green for the Scorchers.

Strikers, Hurricanes and Scorchers seem to clearly be the best 3 sides at this stage.

Scorchers need an adequate Faf replacement and Agar at 7 is shaky af. Hardly an All rounder anymore

Green will be back towards the end of the year and Bancroft should be playing next game.

Lose Lynn and Rashid though. I still think we're the 2nd best side. Hurricanes seem a long way off it atm but they do have some guys who you'd expect to lift but their bowling is ordinary IMO. Scorchers should be clear favourites but I've definitely seen stronger Scorcher sides. Renegades probably 3rd best side at the minute.

I don't think the Renegades will even make finals.

At the end, it might come down to a home ground advantage.
I think the Hurricanes have the best batting line up in the comp.

Some seriously stupid captaincy, coaching and bowling from Adelaide here

Pick an extra spinner then only bowl Short for 2 overs when he'd already taken 2 wickets.
5 overs of middle-leg line with no-one in the ring on the on-side and only 6/over needed.
Siddle bowling himself over CDG at the end.

Diabolical stuff.

Hunt needs at least another game, maybe two.

Agar should play ahead of Siddle but that won't happen.

I don't think we need a second spinner, as Short is playing as an all rounder at the moment anyway.

Strikers really need to look at our planning and strategy. Been poor for a number of years.
