The culture of West Australian rejects playing for an easy payday has destroyed them. Was much better when we had quality Englishmen like KP and Wright and actually wanted to win games.

The stars downward spiral probably started when NCN came over.
Yea that must be it… nothing to do with the stars being rubbish for the majority of their existence ,even prior to your pathetic franchises attempt at replicating the scorchers team first mentality to create the same culture after all those years of big name recruits equaling sweet fa in terms of real success

We actually used to make finals, sure we’d lose them but we still won regular season games and made the finals most years. It’s only the last 2-3 it’s all gone downhill and the culture clearly sucks.

When interviewing Hussey the other night he also hinted at the unavailability of the Perth boys because they wanted to go home was due to their s**t attitude.

Doesn't matter.

Just know that I haven't managed to make the same reputation you have for giving terrible opinions on everything.

Wow, you must feel so special to care what people on an Internet forum think of you.

The fact you first said a wide that actually hit the batsman was a home town decision is an example of poor opinions shows you are clearly just clueless and too boring for anyone to care about.

Stoinis apparently recovering from covid, he has been below his best this season, was a needed rest for him imo.

Stoinis seems to hate the BBL so much it wouldn't surprise me if he followed Lynny and became a freelancer and played in UAE/SA next season.

can CA contracted players do that? I would have thought the CA wouldn't allow something like that

Nah he would have to give up his CA contract and would need approval from CA like Lynn required but his body language and attitude so far this season has been horrendous.

I look forward to CA bringing in a second WA team to even the comp like they did then. Surely given the Perth fans are the only ones who actually care about the comp, a WA derby would be a huge crowd puller!!!
Comp is more than even when you consider where most of the big name internationals go when available. Still think a combined XI from the Melbourne and Sydney teams would be garbage because the cricket talent just isn’t there. Only have to look at the other two formats for confirmation. We’ve just kept the same players for the past decade and haven’t wasted our cap on blow ins

It's a team of individuals. Sends a great message resting 2 of your key players when your struggling to win games anyway. It achieved nothing except made Stoinis and NCN happy they spent a few extra days in WA. Put a bit of scrutiny on the franchise and we will see who actually wants to be there and who doesn't. They need a cleanout and start again Hawthorn style. Get young potential talents into the team who care about winning and development and not the cash. We can't get any worse than we are now. Losing Maxwell was the killer blow as this team has team has no heart to fight or show passion.

A Scorchers reject side would probably be the 2nd best team in it so not a bad idea.

But its hard to argue the Stars are crap (and always have been) because of the Renegades diluting the Vic talent. The Renegades last starting 11 had 3 Victorians.
