Dunno whether that's going to help, a shorter comp means less TV rights, less gate takings and consequently less salaries.

I'm not sure how much longer CA can maintain the luxury of having our best dozen or so players not playing if we can't have the best internationals coming in to replace them.

Could be worse I guess, I caught a bit of the NZ league earlier today and the Sheffield shield gets bigger crowds.

No reason all finals can’t be across 3-4 days rather than a week plus. That is just finals. Every weekend should be a double header. Condense everything and you attract players as it’s less of an ask for players
