Teams know who to target now if they didn't already know. Not sure what Matt Short has to do to get more overs, has to be a better option than Siddle and CDG. Thought Agar was quite good tonight, Thornton too predictable. Batting wise, Lynn and as previously mentioned CDG's dismissals weren't good enough. Think Short should have been content to see a few and see off Boult's first over especially after already hitting a boundary.

Who from the Hurricanes is out of form and will torch us in 2 days time, Tim David? D'Arcy Short? Ben McDermott?
After an excellent start to the tournament, Thornton has gone at 11 plus an over in his last 2 games.

Still reckon it's a more even comp this year with 3 or 4 sides capable of winning it.

Have the Stars ever offered a chance to a kid to play there natural role for a few games in a row? Not talking a district level cricketer (like Rogers) but a genuine kid? Phillipe, Kelly, Davies, J.Edwards, M.Harvey, Fraser - McGurk all been afforded chances in the last season and a half. Who have the Stars given a role to with the bat?

A difficult one to enforce in reality

If the field is still changing what is the batter supposed to do?

Yeah I don't see much of an issue really especially seeming the field was still being adjusted. Think it was more the fact that the umpires have been on Hose's back and then they seemed to not really give Stoinis any sort of hurry up despite taking more than the allocated time.

Plus, would we really back Agar to hit the stumps in that situation...

Stars had to bowl the last over with only 4 allowed outside the circle because they didn’t get their overs in on time. Is there any grace for unavoidable delays? There was a lengthy delay due to a pitch invader and a drs that took a long time.

If you're implying Kellaway is batting too low, his presence this season is nevertheless a leap forward for the Stars in terms of 'giving a kid a go'. The last guy under 25 to be a regular with the bat for them was Handscomb (now 31yo).

Just not sure young players playing BB helps in their development to play red ball cricket.A good example is Glenn Maxwell who will have to adjust his game if he ever gets a go at red ball cricket again.

The good players will work it out.

Kellaway seems to be the best bat technically we are developing since I can't remember.. The numbers he is putting up is insane..

Keep an eye out on Kyle Parrot to make waves next year as well, kid is insanely talented playing alongside Harry De Mattia at Melbourne iirc
