In general the auctions are all about all rounders and fast bowlers. India have so many spinners and top order bats you have to be VERY good to get a gig there. Even Zampa struggled to get a gig and won’t play much anyway

yeah which is why someone like a shanaka is funny as he is a pure finisher which is what most teams need

Think there's still a chance he goes over in some sort of capacity. Read an article about Hayden Kerr and he went over basically as a glorified net bowler after the auction last year, would be a good opportunity to get over there.

Not sure it's good for the competition the same teams vying for the title year after year bar a few times others have snuck one in there. Perhaps the organisers need to start looking into why the others can't seem to get it right. Maybe look at culture and standards and demand an improvement because it will die a slow death if it's always the same scenario.
