This is absolutely ridiculous. The BBL and CA should hold their head in shame. Why are we forced to play on with 13 players COVID positive yet the Heat's game gets postponed? Where is the fairness in that? Us the paying members deserve better

Should be forced to field a 3rds side like the stars were. Fair is fair.
Give the tournament a break, and then resume it in 1 state would be my answer.

Rather than play it in 1 state bubble, maybe we could randomise the home ground advantage by playing it
1. Neutral venue like ACT or NT
2. Randomise the draw in 1 state out of a lottery eg WA, VIC , QLD etc

The tournament needs a reset , and the IPL 2021 resumed after a hiatus of a couple of months. Can't see why the BBL can do that.

But wait the Brisbane Heat have Melbourne based players to represent them:

Its becoming a mickey mouse league right now.

when will they pluck a random patron from the crowd to play?

also which is more of a Mickey Mouse moment: the current competition OR when Andrew Johns played for NSW in the old T20 state comp?

I know TV money is important and all that but the current situation is a joke.

Get the marketing team to do some "Big Bash Bonanza" or something when all these players are out from isolation. Even play two games on the same day if you have to, better than plucking guys from the Footscray 2nd XI.

Jake Lehmann is one of the Heat replacements.

Ahaha. Hopefully for old time sake guys like Ludeman and Simmons make an appearance as well.

For a split second there, Jack Edwards was all set to burn Philippe at the non-strikers end.

But he does the right thing & trudges off.

If Philippe took off in response to the yes call Edwards would’ve only been out with a direct hit

Heat are going to be chasing 200+

Which means 1 of 2 things..either they chase it or get rolled for 60, likely to be the latter
