Wonderful performance by the Scorchers. Atmosphere at Optus is fantastic, the place rock's.

The canes needed 180+ tonight to defend with their level of bowling. The top order failed big time.

Comfortable win for the Scorchers and a good win for the Heat too and their finals prospects.

Perths weakness is still their batting and getting quick wickets without letting a partnership mature is key to beating em. Funnily enough had they had a Mitch Marsh(even Laurie Evans), they’d be close to perfect side

Yeah agree, but I reckon this is one of the better batting lineups in the comp. Hardie turning into a genuine star has helped enormously.

It is but bowling and batting second has helped that squad. They have essentially played a tempo type game all season

We struggled chasing a modest total against the sixers last game tho, I really hope we finish top so we play them in Perth.
The score on that wicket was more than competitive.

We'd just played 2 games on the road and it was our 3rd away game in 5 days against the 2nd side in the comp.

We didn't lose any friends.

I think the Scorchers are sometimes held to ridiculous standards.
A couple of tail enders have a swing tonight in the power surge and get away with it and some how we "dropped the ball".

If you asked before the toss would we be happy to keep that line up to 140 odd, we would've taken it in a heartbeat.

We lose a couple of wickets and we're choking.

Bottom line is, we lost all of our first pick internationals before a ball was bowled, have lost one of the most destructive bats in the comp in Marsh, the best fast bowler in the comp and an international all rounder and yet we're on top of the wazza.

A bit of perspective would be nice.

Rant over:)

Urg, another year of high expectations for the Hurricanes, another year wasted. We won't win a flag until possibly 2066

read again, said I can feel a scorcher choke here

didn't say it was definitely gonna happen, just had that feeling
Read again. You weren't the only one.

We haven't got the best openers around so it's on the cards we'll lose an early one or two most games really.

You're really underachieving with that side IMO.

Having said that, T20 is a volatile format so if you make finals you could do some damage I think.
