The rain at North Sydney Oval 3 weeks ago pretty much gave the Heat a finals spot.
Might have cost the sixers a home final as well, the season would have been different if the sixers and scorchers finished on the same points, both teams would have gone hard for NRR knowing it was likely they would finish on equal points.

If we move to a shorter season first place will unlikely actually deserve instant qualification. All teams wont' play each other the same number of times.
Got a feeling the Qantas and Toyota party rumour is real. Two groups with the top 2 of each playing off in finals.

Meaning the Strikers would play the Scorchers the maximum number of times every season
The groups were [Scorchers, Sixers, Thunder, Heat] and [Hurricanes, Stars, Renegades, Strikers]. You double up against teams in your group and play the other group only once. The top 2 of each group play off in the finals, top of one group plays second in the other. The team with the best W/L record hosts the final. Apparently the Melbourne teams are the most followed and this is supposed to give one or both a better chance of making finals, and lessens the chance of both the scorchers and sixers both making it through. Sounds about right.

Does sound reasonable.

As I said earlier, Hobart were the team that could've blown the finals up if any of their batters had fired. It was obviously a massive if though, cos they'd shown no signs of doing anything all tournament.

Thunder can beat Perth in Perth if they get there

The interviewer asking Warner if he's enjoying himself on

T20 is a volatile format.

Anyone can beat anyone on their day.
Agreed. especially given the fact that internationals will not be able to play. the only team that won’t be affected by internationals are the Gades because we have none (Harris and handscombe have done nothing for us all year so missing them won’t make a difference)
