They were mostly missing batsmen, they still had a decent bowling attack and they had no choice, the Hurricanes chose to rest players and play garbage bowlers.

The Hurricanes made a choice to give their squad bowlers a game in case they need them in finals.

It’s still players good enough to play in a BBL squad. This is only a dead rubber cos the Sixers threw a game.

Pity Stars didn’t make the finals, those 2 Covid hit games were costly, and in another game where they just batted poorly

Stars need to recruit a couple decent bowlers next season, preferably a class overseas pace bowler who is going be there for the whole season

Next season Maxwell should open the battingfrom the start next season

Trust Maxwell to save an innings like that for when their season is over and there's zero stakes.
That’s probably the only reason we got to see it. If Gades win yesterday there’s no chance we see this today. He had the opportunity to go out there and just bat with no consequences

Stars are a bit like Richmond, oppo teams play their little leggies off when the Stars come up on the fixture.
Why I will not write off the Hurricanes.

I really don’t think they do. The Stars just always crumble when there’s something on the line

The heartbreaking things for the Canes is they could bat phenomenally and make 240 and they would still be nowhere near it.

Hard to even take the field chasing this, it's a piss take they know they are no chance.

Our biggest mistake was getting Dippenar out in that game lol
Remember towards the end of our knock, they turned one of the cameras around to look over the back of the ground.

There was the Saffer mascot sitting on his own, elbows on knees and head down on his fists, just totally dejected.
God my mum and i laughed.
