Trust Maxwell to save an innings like that for when their season is over and there's zero stakes.

All off the top of my head with no real research but his first domestic 50 was the fastest ever whrr we n vics were dead and buried and they won , odi ton in a World Cup knock out round , odi ton when we were 7 for * all , test ton when we were 4 for * all, steered us home in multiple odi and t20is so this comment really is an ignorant joke … pretty sure stars started shithouse against the Sixers before he scored his ton

So can we add covid to the long list of ways the stars haven't been able to win the BBL.

I must say every competition needs a team that seems cursed in it. And Melbourne Stars are the perfect villians for the BBL keeps the neutrals interested whats going to happen to them every year.

BBL wont be same if they ever win a title.

I think the Sixers final/preliminary will be played in Sydney but all games this weekend are in Melbourne which includes the Thunders 3rd vs 4th/5th.
Well that is stupid, how is the risk any different in SA vs Vic? It's just as stupid as having the Strikers based in Melbourne when they had 3 games in a row at AO, defies any sort of logic.

The same token is it fair that a team finishing 4th gets a home final and teams 1-3 don't? This is probably keeping it the fairest for everyone. However if the Sixers HOST the final it is in Sydney

Watched the game yesterday & just loved it. What a great display of batting!
Surprised reading this thread today how many people are bagging Maxwell as a flat tracker. I’ve watched a lot of this series & he’s been consistently excellent all throughout. Batting, bowling, fielding. He’s led from the front. Not his fault they were decimated by Covid.
Stoinis is a different matter. Had a poor series but cashed in against sub par attack.
And as far as last night goes, as we say all the time in the footy threads, you can only play against the team the other mob puts out. Sure it wasn’t great bowling but it still takes an exceptional talent to hit some of the shots he did & to keep riding your luck.
