    Weather forecast is pretty average.

Would be unlucky to schedule the first & only match ever in the hottest place on earth and it gets washed out

As is the case with rain affected matches, the team who bats second will likely win.

What a shitty and irrelevant place to host.

Why is this is in Alice Springs rather than Darwin?

Yeah, it's a weird place to host a game. CA is probably giving away 40,000 in the crowd by not playing it in Adelaide.

Anyone see the irony of the Strikers changing their shirt sponsor from West End to Drinkwise for today's game yet still having the West End signage on the field

I thought all the extra home games this year were meant to be played at different venues to normal?!

Pitch is flat and low. Outfield slow.

    140 could win this.

Though Scorchers would play outside Perth somewhere. Also the Renegades outside of Melbourne.

While some have been, I don't think the teams were compelled to play the extra game elsewhere.

    Renegades went to Geelong
    Hurricanes went to Launceston
    Thunder are going to Canberra

I'm surprised the Heat didn't go to Townsville or Cairns (but I suspect they'll play one on the Gold Coast next season when Metricon's back online). The Sixers could've visited somewhere like Coffs Harbour. Stars could've gone to Ballarat, and the Scorchers could've gone to Darwin.

Who do the conditions favour? The slow outfield may close the gap in terms of the Strikers' inability to find the boundary.

23,000, the Alice is bigger than I give it credit for.
