Fair to say this tour of India will be a big one for Alex Carey then? if you missed stumpings and concede byes like last night, the microscope will further be enhanced on someone like Carey if Australia is beaten comprehensively over there.

Especially if he’s not getting runs. It’s somewhat fine if he’s going at 40+ with the bat but he wasn’t even doing that this summer

I also decided to do a review of the Sydney Sixer by player last night:

Hayden Kerr : 10/10
Abbott: 9.5/10
SOK: 7/10
Lyon: 5.5/10
Dwarshuis : 3.5/10
Dan Christian: 5/10
Avendano: 2/10
Jake Carder: 3/10
Henriques: 4.5/10
Silk: 2.5/10
Jay Lenton: 5/10

Fair to say Kerr and Abbott with bat were magnificent.

Thought Abbott was pretty good with the ball (3/27) as well and probably deserves a 10/10.

Abbott should have got MoM IMO,
41/20 with the bat, but let's not forget that total was only in chasable in large part to his 3/27 off 4, 6.75 an over economy.

In T20 cricket, far too much emphasis is put on who scores the most runs. All round performances like 3 wickets and good economy and dismissing Short, Cockbain and Head and then belting 41 off 20 are underrated because the runs scored aren't as high.

If he doesn't bowl as well, they're probably chasing 180+ and it's not even a game.
