No you're rightTo be fair, both Evans and Turner batted excellently - was a thing of T20-beauty.
till they get dumped like Lyon didI find the modest looking wags rather wholesome overall.
You're more likely to go the distance with a plain Jane over a diva anyway
Righto.
I don't fully agree test plsyers slotting straight into their BBL team for finals with zero H&A games..
Why didn't Sniff play .?
But Lyon did .
Lyon signed a contract before the season with the Sixers. Similarly Head and Carey did for the Strikers, Lab for the Heat. Smith didn’t.
CA asked the other seven teams in the BBL if it was okay for the Sixers to add Smith to their list and every team said no.It's not hard to make an exemption for the Grand Final, when the whole Sixer squad was being held together by the tape that held Bruce Reid together in the 12th Man albums

At the end of the day he didnt have a contract, sucks for them but those are the rules.

Where do you draw the line…you giving the Thunder Cummins? Can’t just be for the GF. It distorts the competition
That’d just make the comp more of a joke if discretion is used rather than following the rules. The facts are, everyone else signed contracts, Smith didn’t.. and everyone other club was asked whether it was okay and they said no, there was democracy involved to get to this point. So there’s no reason why he should have played with that evidence. You use discretion. You make a case for the player to play

Would it have made the game better? Of course. But if we’re doing that and disregarding everything else to make one game competitive then we may as well have Michael Masi run the comp
If that’s what happens then yes. That’s sport. Sometimes the players you signed to your squad before the season aren’t available through injury or whatever. As a West Coast fan surely you relate to that after last year, you just can’t do anything about it and it’s rough looking at what could have beenWhat if 11 mainline Strikers get injured leading up to the final.
Do you want 11 Evan Dando's playing? Just let the best play FFS
They tried. It was declined by the other clubsMake an exemption when the best return

That’s opening a can of worms. You either don’t have contracts or you abide by the current rules can’t have a bet both ways
Because they didn't want to pay Smith a retainer to watch them play all year
