The only people in the world who think the Hurricanes made the right choice in not opening with Wade are those who hate him. Anyone else can see that it was a poor choice. Also 2 left handers together didn’t seem to hurt the Strikers on either night...

Our Top 4 - and 5 of our Top 6 - are lefties. You just bat quality at the top rather than getting too cute with left/right combos.

Only Gilly and Ponting complemented the simple game plan of the strikers. (Not lose early wickets in the powerplay and accelerate at the end plus bowling defensively to the right set fields) Mark Waugh blamed poor bowling from the Hurricanes. Never said Weatherald batted well only that the hurricanes bowled poorly to him which is why he got runs.

Looked like he was at a funeral in the post-match, or at a gala dinner to name Steve the best Waugh to ever bat for Australia. Spent more time talking up that ******* donkey of his than the newly-crowned national champions.

Geniune lulz when Ponting was talking about the best young cricketers to come through and he threw in a Thunder player.

At least try Mark.

, Wade againts perth took 13 of MMarsh first over, Bowlers generally , find it difficult to bowl to LH , and the Canes fell for the trap
tassie local paper, saying bowlers lost the game

Hobart bowled badly just too short and wrong side of the wicket , got team selection wrong.would have played boyse , batting order debarkle ! Wtf were they doing ? Didn't see the strikers go left right hand combinations , just stuck to the order of things

Siddle was very lucky the lbw was atrocious

Needed to be kept to 180 for the canes to win , well done strikers , well played

Genuine sooks up in the comm box, makes it sweeter.

Archer chose the wrong afternoon to put in his worst performance, and the exact opposite goes for Weathers.

If the bowlers lost the game for Hobart, then it's logical to say the bowlers won it for the Strikers.

Unless you're Mark Waugh, in which case the Hobart bowlers and batsmen were the only reason they lost. And they would never have beaten the Thunder.
