The Good Vibrations version that was recently voted the GREATEST SONG OF ALL TIME, by all the rock Gods and Godesses including Paul, Ringo and George. The Beach Boys version.

My statement / point is this. The Beatles were the only band where each individual member sung lead vocals on a song & that single reached number 1 in both the US & UK. For example, Ringo Starr (Yellow Submarine), George Harrison (Something) and John Lennon & Paul McCartney obviously having a series of number 1 singles each where they sang lead for the band.

Now, did the Beach Boys match this? Or was the band made up of one average lead vocalist compared to the combined genius of four of the greatest all round musicians & vocalists of all time.

And don't get me started about quality of lyrics between the 2 bands. The Beatles could find something to sing & celebrate other than surf & daddy's T-Bird!!!
When are you going to answer this Lioness???? Or is it too hard for you because this is the knockout punch???

I actually thought I had........... Had puter probs the other night so perhaps it didn't post, I dunno.

The Beach Boys actually stopped singing about surf and cars around 1965.......the music evolved. It's just that all Captiol Records know how to release is the Hits........

Anyway, if any of you actually KNEW the entire Beach Boys catalogue, you would know that it's THE most creative, amazing music you will hear. But none of you go past the Hits, and that's good enough for you. Makes you look a little stupid when it comes to arguing points though......

OK after some late-night discussion with some prominent Beach Boys people (and the finest hack on the Black Board....... MTG  ) the general feeling is that it's a waste of time discussing our fabulous boys with a bunch of hacks who have an out-dated Greatest Hits album as their reference to 40 years of Beach Boys magic............when you've listened to each band's entire catalogue and can actually form a proper argument, we will talk. :D On behalf of the Beach Boys and their most prominent fans............... lol you know the rest. :D

I now take it Lioness your refusal to answer my question leads to one thing. The Beatles are a better band than The Bleach Boys. Some fan you are....

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. We told you, we are not speaking. I told you, when you know BOTH bands' entire catalogues, we will talk. Till then, tell it to someone else. We don't have to justify a thing.

Keep on going living a dream that the Bleach Boys are better but we know the truth don't we???? ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha fall off chair ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
