Will be interesting to see if JK and JD continue to work well together.
Would be great to see JK kick 65+ and JD 50+.
I reckon it's more likely to be JK 65+, MLC 50+, JD 35+

No matter how easier it got in the 2nd half we still had to come out and be switched on. We kicked 17 goals to 4 in a half of footy, 11 in one quarter. We had 15 goals between our four talls including two to a rookie in Sinclair who probably impressed me the most.
Kerr and Lecca looked like they haven't missed a beat and our midfield finally played harder quicker footy without relying on a couple of players to shoulder the load.
Melbourne dropped off no doubt but we could of easily just won by 50-60 points and been happy, we nearly won by 100.

Yes Carlton will be a real test next week, once again, but all in all that was still our best 1/2 of footy for the year and hopefully just the start of things to follow.

melbourne are on par with GWS last year and GC the year before. horrendously bad.

next week vs carlton is 50-50 game IMO

I wouldn't say its woken the beast but it would have given the team a good boost as when ya think about it we haven't won a proper match since the first final in 2012..a 96 point win and a 94 point win.

I don't think we are in as bad a position as people make it out to be as injuries have REALLY impacted the team structure. You could see how much the team looked better overall with Lecra and Kerr in the team.

Wait till we get Nic Nat, Rosa, Wellingham and Nicoski back , the first 3 will impact the team quite abit and Nicoski will be good for depth in case of injuries.

Honestly starting to wonder if Nico will play another game, his dodgy hammy could be a career killer. :(

Yeah its looking that way...but there would less pressure for him to come back than last year and has probably been told to take his time. He would be a good replacement for Hams but the problem there is, is that when Rosa, Wellingham and Nic Nat come back there definitely will not be room for him.

The problem for Nico is that forward line is looking beautiful already: Kennedy, Darling, NN/Cox, LeCras, Hill and then the midfielders who can rest and kick snaggers (Shue, Masto, Wellingham), plus Sheppard's going to go close for Embley's spot by the end of this year IMO.

I've got money on jk for Coleman.. I reckon he was stiff in 11 (bloody coxy) and would have went close last year too.

Nah i'd tip J Riewoldt again. Dunno what it is with that bloke. He can play absolutely toilet, and at the end of each game still get his 4 or 5 goals.

yeh he's striking the ball beautifully off the boot at the moment, and getting his hands fully reached out in packs. It's so good to see.

Even better is how it is working with the king too, had some concerns about this it seems to be working really well. Both in great form.
I wouldn't say Darling's in great form yet - i'll wait for him to put a few good games together first. He was killed in the Derby.

I would looks good to me. Taking contested marks, which wasn't a strong point of his. Chasing and putting pressure on like we all know he can better than ever before, his work rate is fantastic. I think I read somewhere he ran 19.5 kms at the g on the weekend . That is huge for a man his size, people get excited about cloke running 14-15 kms in a game, I know the king isn't as big but woweee..

Hopefully it's confidence that we really need. 2 hard games to tell us to toughen down, then 3 progressively harder ones to build our form in - could end up being just what we needed this season (that, and fewer injuries!)
