There are two types of recruiting

I feel one type is much more likely in this case.

A larger recruitable pool would balance the slightly smaller starting factions, and evil should really have won that last game. It was a dramatic series of evil deaths every night that got the village over the line.

So far we have lucked out in multiple ways. Here’s hoping it continues.

Tbh the answer to the question you asked and tagged BE might offer us insights . If there are no starting villagers and DS’s are neutral 3 in a faction makes more sense since evil began with an unheard of numbers advantage or at least lack of disadvantage

I saw your earlier post and as I alluded to- that makes me distrust you both even more tbh. He wasn't an obvious choice last night when there were other options including outed town. Still, I'd rather he goes than you.

No, there's two types. Vampire recruiting which only the head vampire can do on odd nights, and drifting souls recruiting which only the mafia, wolves and flogs can currently do which only works on players with no PM.

You're saying you protected JHF over Dero, Chip and Tarks? Carn man. I know you don't play day 1 seriously but you've usually got your game face on by night 2.

Doctor - Each night phase, can protect (from kill actions only) a player of their choice. Cannot protect the same target on consecutive nights.

A doc protect wouldn’t prevent a recruitment so not double immune…
Being a factional head confers double immunity though

To be fair they were doing the same yesterday . It’s why I was pushing for them yet got little support. There’s no point not going with the intel we have today, but for future the likes of BFew and Ding (who got a pass from me in his first game in ages yesterday) have to be looked at. BFew gave the evil busy excuse but that was specific to Monday as far as his pregame post goes z

But when a small number of posters post SO MUCH and often directed to/from those posters, it doesn't leave much room for other people to think, let alone reply. I actually think it makes it easier for evil players to hide and coast along, because everyone else tends to as well.

I did that. Kept swapping myself with someone who would never be targeted for a kill. Bus drivers can be immortal if you're allowed to swap yourself.

I don't actually know what JHF is at all, but I know one (of possibly more than one) reason why he didn't die.

And once again, where we differ (in a game like this anyway with no silencing/blackmailing role) is that I view it as upto other people to be active, not upto us actives to slow down. I am not stopping anyone from thinking or replying. But all those lurkers/hiders . This is about the only type of thread where I post prolifically...because unlike say the SC or the SFA or even general boards where what we say is redundant, this game relies on engagement/participation not people checking out.

In any case, JHF was almost as active as me yesterday (not today) but with fewer game-related posts and more melts- yet we are meant to believe that you either chose to protect him, or recruit him , over somebody less active/more your style..l

Feels more likely than what MC insinuated earlier and is claiming now. MC is a song contest regular and someone who made it deep last game so is the sort of person I’d expect JHF to recruit.

And yes to your last point.

And they would be the only two in the faction so mc has nothing to lose /everything to gain with the play.

Haha - only a fool would try to recruit me in this game and there's nothing in his first couple of WW games that makes me think JHF is a fool. He might well be the Vampire though, which would kind be funny to me.

I wasn't the outright most active poster yesterday, others were (until I caught up later when the likes of JHF slowed down)- and you still thought I was evil...

You are an extremely common recruitment choice across all the years I've played even when I played every game vs. my recruitment record (a grand total of once)
