Went to see Beasts of Borboun on their 40th anniversary tour tonight at the croxton, I thought it was a bit disappointing, second half was tighter and better than the first, but they played and sounded like a band reflecting on the past glories of youth rather than playing like they wanted grasp the last vestiges of youth that they possibly could whilst on stage for an audience that wanted exactly that. I wanted to shred the vale and smash the hands of Father Time not reflect on how awesome they had been when SPJ was alive and I suspect neither would he I think he’d rather they Chased The Dragon
