A lot of posters reckon Beau's numbers are up at Hawthorn.

I'd personally like to see him stay, and PLAY.

Some say he needs to harden up.

What do you think ?

Mmmm...OK.

Does anyone know what his attitude to footy is like atm ? Did he apply himself properly this year ? Is his heart still in it ? Has he been hampered by injury ? What ?

I'd say he is gone. Showed promise but never really took the step up required. Good luck to him wherever he ends up after us, if he lands on another AFL list.

God. So many of us had such high hopes for him. He seemed to just drip with potential, and now it seems to have come to this. Going out without so much as a whimper.
Well, Beau, wherever you are, I still have my fingers crossed for you, buddy.

The fact of the matter is that "he does not have the confidence in his body" following his car accident

This is code for he is afraid of getting hurt. Probably not an out and out squib, but bloody close to it.

OK, so the hardness issue is raised. I suppose his confidence must be close to shattered as a result.

Tell him to go live with Luke Hodge over summer...that might fix him up.

He has had 5 years and cant get a game for box hill. If he should be kept, then i dont understand why...

I also cant understand how some people can blame selection policy for the fact that he cant play football...

Can't see him lasting unfortunately...showed glimpses of what he can do. What might of been if he hadn't rolled his ankle in the Nab Cup opener v Tigers.Might of started the season, gained confidence and maybe we wouldn't have this thread...

Clarko tried to turn him into a back which is akin to trying to warney into a quick...well maybe not but you get my drift.

Whatever hope he performs with someone else:thumbsu:

Has already been told he will not be at Hawthorn next year.

Will be traded or he will be nominating for the draft and trying his luck with Thorp.

Muston and Morton will be following.

Like LMR said he's already been told that he won't be at the club. His name hadn't been mentioned in any trade rumours.. He'll be delisted.

I think he is a victim of the current gameplan wherby the forwards squeeze up the ground lots leaving stacks of room behind them for Buddy to run onto etc:

Thats not his style. He is a lead up forward with a good set of hands and quick pace. Struggles with body on body contact most likely due to his mentality changing since the car accident. I'd love for him to get another go at a different club but don't see it happening. He'd be suited to sitting in the goalsquare and burning defenders off.

For the record he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and i really hope he gets another gig at a club.
