I'm a Saints supporter but just thought I'd let you know that Beau is currently playing cricket for the Parkfield CC (Noble Park) and will be seeing out the season in the 'whites' before his first season of AFL footy. Maybe worth you Hawks supporters going to watch him play? He is a quality young kid and will be an asset to your club.
All the best for the Hawks in '06.

Beau is a great guy and I hope he enjoys his cricket and succeeds with his footy with the Hawks.

But if he has the energy to play cricket is he training hard enough?

Or is Hawthorn's training so ordinary that the players have lots of energy left over at the end of the week to be able to go and play other sports?

I know several really fit young guys from other clubs who wisely use the time off from the footy club to recover before another 18 training sessions coming up for the next week.

Yes I did hear about his accident, sorry I meant accidents, mate.

That's why I wonder about the wisdom of him playing cricket on hard grounds.

Please explain what trolling is?

I asked a reasonable question and made a reasonable comment that I am interested in hearing reasonable comments from Hawk members.

Beau is training at Hawthorn very well and enjoying it. He has bulked up from when he started and is loving the interaction with senior players as well. Let's hope the accidents are 'a thing of the past'.

You didn't ask a reasonable question. You made implications that he wasn't training hard enough, or that Hawthorn training isn't hard enough.

I'm unsure the club would want him playing cricket after his accident, I didn't think he had quite started full training yet, so I'm surprised that'd he'd be able to play cricket already. Good news if he is able to get through cricket so soon after his accident.

Anyway, with training, intra-club games, pre-season, I very much doubt you'd be able to play much cricket. Actually i"m almost certain of it.

Whats the issue with him playing on a hard ground???? he has a pelvis injury thats healed, A hard ground is not going to damage it.

Cricket isn't the most strenuous sport to play is it.

or maybe your mates are not at the elite fitness level of the Hawthorn players therefore they are so exahusted to do anything else. :)
