Delisted by the Hawks today
Beau Dowler was Hawthorn's first pick (No.6) in the 2005 draft
196cms which is a very good size i hope we really give him a shot maybe bring him down for pre season training... his only issues are injuries his time at the hawks have been cut because of the injuries... boy has talent but do you think its gamble which we could take ?
He hasn't had an injury for 3 seasons, he was dropped to the Box Hill 2nd's this year and has gone backwards, has gone talent, but no ticker.

Looked like he was going to be a gun FF when he was a junior, but never had the same fire after the car accident. I'd like to take him as a rookie for a year to see what happens.

I would like to point out that Dowler was available all season for the Dawks and could not crack it for a senior game, even at the start of the season when they were picking from a list of about 27 players he could not even manage to be named an emergency.

He finished the season in the Box Hill Reserves.

DO NOT WANT!!!!!!!!!!

Skipper and Muston rumoured to have deals somewhere?
The Crows offered up 2 picks for tambling......nothing will about player movements can surprise me after that.

Muston looked O.K. at times last year, not sure what happened this year?

Skipper I'd look at as a cheap back up. We only have 3 rucks on our list.
I really don't want to see Henderson or Setanta pinch hitting, or worse (see Hawkins) because we have 2 injured rucks. We need some insurance that won't get upset if he doesn't play (in no way is that a crack at Jacobs or Hammer either).

With Sauce gone, Levi is likely to be given more ruck duties at the Bullants to develop his mobility and at the same time trial Hampson in a key position. I would suggest we'd also pick up an 18 year old in the rookie draft to develop.

Drafting Skipper would be akin to Port picking up Cameron Cloke.

ROFL. Open both eyes, no wonder the Carlton board is the laughing stock of bigfooty
See if you can do the same. You may have to pull your head out of your backside to do it.

Hopefully John Barker can do his first great service to Carlton and advise the club to stay the hell away from Dowler.

Can remember him kicking four goals in a game. Obviously has talent. Wasn't Mitch Thorpe a pick #6 also? Struggle to see us picking him up.
Actually did anyone see how Mitch Thorp went in the VFL this year? I meant to have a look at him but missed out, might be worth a late pick or rookie slot and try to develop him into a CHB depending on his attitude to work and getting another shot. Was a very good junior age footballer and has the size we need down back.???? Thoughts anyone

No club will go anywhere near him and there's a heap of good reasons for that.

Maybe worth looking at a few of the Hawks discards, but guys that size that spend 4 years on a list don't get cut for no reason.

I'd have a passing interest in Moss, Muston and.....yes.....call me cazy.......Wade Skipper.
Moss would be well worth a shot despite his small stature, was captain of WA at under 18 level and is a very handy player to have around in terms of midfield depth, much better option on our list than some like Chris Johnson etc, would definitely improve our bottom six in terms of talent which is what we need especially during the compromised drafts where the pickings are going to be lean.:D

Dowler, Moss and Muston all looked alright in 2009. Would prefer gamble over all of them though.
