The poor back had to guard Gray while there were 4 Port forwards charging his way. He froze, and Robbie got open. Robbie went away probably knowing that either he would get open or the goal.

The other back had also frozen, but Rozee doesn’t get as much separation as Gray did. Still learning, I reckon.

The Dogs weren’t playing to defend their lead. It was 2v2 inside 50, and the other backs were in the contest. They had no spare. When the ball got loose, and Ladhams managed to soccer it, the Dogs were rooted.

The thing about some of his high pressure kicks recently, is they never look like missing. They never start a bit wide, or bend and sneak in. Dead straight drop punts. Absolutely elite, start in the middle and straight as an arrow. Perfect kicks.

So much this. The guy has looked physically cooked for a couple of years. He's had chemo. He was written off as injury prone early on in his career.

And then he trots out for a lazy 25 and 2 in a clutch game on Friday night. The man is a living breathing monument. A colossus of the PAFC.
