Lets bring back some old fashioned footy..Beer, Swearing, 4 n 20's in the bloody Ponsford stand..Too many times on Wednesday My friends and i were continually were told off by fellow fans for our language beer spillage and many of our chants..Lets kick all these so called goody too shoes out of the ponsford and into some bloody family..The ground is big enough so lets put all the people who dont like it to another area....Lets call it the "Family area"..The ponsford was rocking last friday night between Richmond and Collingwood..Its was great to amongst it..Lets kick out all those kids and grandma's out and lets get the real footy lovers in there....

Michael i agree completely. Pre Selling a game is terrible as yesterday i ended up in the Ponsford as usual but had Essendon bandwagon morons in front of me. You know the ones who go once a year and think they run the Ponsford. I got told off for swearing. Everyone knows the Posnford is for the hardcore supporters. I hate it when people rock up once a year and think the whole MCG is a family section.
Essendon "supporters" are so funny. There only comments are "go jimmy" or "go bombers".
I believe the hardcore supporters are being treated poorly. I dont mind not swearing if the person telling me to swear has never sworn. If they have sworn then they are hypocrites as i pointed out yesterday.
I cant wait for Collingwood Carlton as there will be good natured fun had with the Carlton Official cheersquad who will be sitting in the Ponsford i believe.
I remember the good old days when there were sections known as the "outer". Today its all corporates who run the game.

After security laughed at them and moved along, we settled back in. When a goal was scored (and COME ON, that wasn't TOO OFTEN!), we broke into the usual chanting, singing, etc, then tapered off into 20 or 30 folks all delivering a golf clap and a lot of 'Oh I say's.
Now, at the MCG, I notice there is no standing on seats.
Soon you'll have to remove your shoes to walk into the ground.

I suppose the difference is that with some of the things you say on here, you'd get your lights punched out at the footy, and you wouldn't want that sort of person standing next to you at a game.
At least if it was restricted to a certain section of the ground, where it was sort of "open slather" verbally, families could go to the footy in an environment that would almost certainly be "cleaner" than it is now.
Wouldn't that keep both the families and the yobbos happy?

Esataugh 36 your name sums you up..The ponsford is a great atmosphere when the "Ideal" crowd is there...THE viewing is ok but the atmosphere is great but you wouldnt know..You are a ****ing moron from Adelaide..You live in the biggest hole in australia..Whats wrong with foul language..If you dont like it sit somewhere else..The atmosphere at the rich vs coll game was great...Collingwood suppoters were everywhere , the richmond cheersquad was above us and many more tiger and pies were everywhere..There were fights, arguments which i loved..Its good to see some passion back in the game.But you wouldnt know you live under a rock and thats called South Australia..
