Being Labeled Racist

It seems to be happening more and more these days where it seems you can't even have an opinion that isn't derogatory without being labeled racist. Point in case:
Our office is near the entrance and perving is a popular pastime. The boys went nuts the other day and I was alerted, had a look and made the comment "meh, I don't really find Asians attractive", and was accused of being racist.
I guess because I prefer Italian Pork sausage over Chinese pork sausage I am also racist, either that or both are merely a thing of taste.

You're not a racist. Not finding a certain race attractive is your own personal preference and people have very broad-ranging ideas of what is attractive and what is not. As long as you don't treat a race unfairly due to the way they were born you're ok.

Although I have a strong hate for racially discriminating people, lezbe honest for a sec. People these days are far too keen to label people as racist.

I had an ex who was half Asian. Her parents, friends etc would always try to match her up with Asian boys, so one day she came out and said "Guys, there are exceptions, but I generally have no attraction to Asians". Cue several "But YOU'RE an Asian"'s and "There has to be a reason"'s. I find it disgusting that one is seemingly obligated to be attracted to people from their same nationality. No, bitch, you don't choose who people love and why.

I used to work with a woman, who had a knack of getting hit on by foreigners. She is currently engaged to one of the Indian men who hit on her. Heard a dilemma that another Indian man hit on her the other day at work, and asked her out. She declined, and the man's first instinct was to shout "IS IT BECAUSE I'M INDIAN?!". She tried to tell him that she was getting married to an Indian,
but he wouldn't hear it and reported her for racial vilification.

That's caause Asian (and Eastern European, and South American) women are the biggest slap in the face to western women possible. They're hotter, skinnier, less horrible to be around, less entitled, better girlfriends, better mothers, better wives and just generally more appreciative of a man.

It upsets the apple cart in the mind of a western chick, she doesn't want to lose the awesome ride she has now (i.e. act like an entitled superior bitch, expect men to both fawn over them AND pay for them, be unreasonably shit at their job compared to their male equivalents, yet still wants to be protected as a woman).

I would be "offended" at being called racist in this scenario. You're not saying I don't like Asians because they are Asians, you are saying you don't like Asians because of a personal opinion of what is attractive/what is not. I don't see how it is different to saying "I like blondes better than brunettes" or "I find girls with curves most attractive", and similar things.

If, however, you denied a person of some ethnicity of some sort of right because of their ethnicity, that is racism.

Without knowing your background I think you'd be taking a big punt. I lived in Japan for a while albeit many years ago and generally I thought the ordinary/fugly ones outnumbered the lookers quite considerably.
