Did anyone else watching The Panel notice who was in that gas ad from W.A. tonight. Of course it was Peter Bell. Like I said from the start. Over at the Kangas he was just a little fish in a big bowl, over there he is a big fish in a little bowl, he knew what he was doing.

Also did anyone else watch Sports tonight on 10. They were talking about three players who have been treated unfairly at the tribunal (spelling?) Harvey was one of them. They (Elaine Canty was one of them) talked about the inconsistency with the touching the umpire etc. Nice to know that they think that he shouldnt have been given that suspension. Bet Harvs feels really good about it as well, I think it took the stuffing out of him for a few weeks after that. Maybe an apology would go down well. I really think that the clubs need to make more noise about this sort of thing.

If they are serious about their mistakes, at the very least they should pay him his match payments for the 2 weeks he was suspended. Likewise for Todd Curley and Adrian Fletcher.

I agree.

Its great that the players association are taking a stand on this considering so many other instances have gone unreported. Consistency is a problem. The umpires & tribunal are messing with the above players' reputations simply to set an example to the rest of the league. Particularly disappointing that Boomer went down without any available video footage of his situation.

I missed the gas commercial but saw the tail end of a clip where a doggie was having wind blown through his jowls. That wasn't Belly was it? I read recently that he had filmed a commercial for Alinta Gas, one of the Docker's big sponsors.

The AFL should do what Richmond did and unleash the Geish....from his contract.

At the start of the year, he said that the umpires would take a hard line. Now he's telling them to use their common sense. When Harvey got reported, the umpire APOLOGISED to Harvey saying that he had to report him as it was a new policy.

In the process, Geishen's lack of foresight in relation to his policy not only cost Brent Harvey two weeks on the sidelines (and you could argue a further couple of weeks since it took a while for him to regain form.....Curley who started the season well also has lost form and confidence), but now Harvey, along with Curley and Fletcher, now have the stain of a guilty verdict alongside their names for handling the umpires.

I think the umpires have a tough job with constant analysis of their decisions, but Geishen has caused them more problems by removing the umpire's ability to use their common sense in decision making.

Yes, it was Belly. I knew it was him when I saw the back of his head in the shower. Confirmed when his stubby little hand turned off the shower, big, silver Tag Heuer. Then threw a towel around the stubby little body and his profile said goodbye to the dog.....Definately Belly! Dockers tracksuit and all.;)
