whats the go this year with the bellarine elague? who have the bottom clubs signed? what are ladder predicitons? everyone comment!

Practice Match sought Saturday, April 7

Due to cancellation, Albion Football Club, WRFL Division 1 are seeking an opponent for a Practice Match for Seniors, Reserves and Under 18’s. Our ground, Parsons Reserve, Sunshine is available.

Have seen Queenscliff in first 3 rounds, and if it's possible, they are better this year. Played a much improved Barwon Heads on Saturday with players of the quality of N.Orvis, S.Owen, B.Ridings, D. Measures and D.Gibbs all unavailable. They have picked up quality recruits in C.Mason Gus Donovan and Quinton Gleeson. When the full squad gets on the park watch out!

I was at that game. Where is Mason from?, he's an absolute gun. Was also very impressed with Backwell from BH.

Wow, with 5 of their top 7 or 8 players missing the Coutas were pretty good, although I reckon BH will be there at the pointy end of the season. Any other teams impressed so far this year? Drysdale?
 
Still plenty of big names missing from Qcliffs side at the moment, Owen/Ridings/Burnside/Donovan/L.Orvis/Cashin/Gleeson. Plenty of injuries/unavailability. Any ideas on when & if they will be back?
Looked very beatable against Drysdale and the small margin win against a struggling Angelsea was surprising.

When you add the likes of Jayden Durran, Danny Measures and Daniel Gibbs to the list it indicates how good the depth is at Queenscliff. Most players will be back sometime after the bye. One or two injuries may take a little longer. It's a tribute to Coach Tom Limb that he has been able to manage the side so well given the ins and outs each week!
 
Just an observation. Coy and Murphy both played at East, both first time coaches, both pulling the pin after one season with work and family commitments, two clubs in the same position as last year without a coach. Does life stage come into play when appointing coaches, or playing coaches?

No suprise there they sacked Sproule knowing they had a replacement lined up. He will need to bring 6 quality players to compete in the finals. Others clubs are already circling around the better players keeping the current list will be a difficult task.
 
What was the go with Haami Williams and a bunch of modewarre players getting around with their team shirts on at the GF. No teams playing. Bit odd. Reminded me of 6yr old kids wearing there Essendon jumper to a collingwood/carlton match.

See in the addy two BFL players done for doing coke at a nightclub. Would it have got a mention if it wasn't football. Were they wearing team colours or something. Why else would it be taken to football geelong to deal with?

Sound like a statement/announcement that they are up and about for next year. Williams has got a pretty good rep.

If that was to happen that would be great for the comp. Chuck in the Davis's and Daffy (still playing?), Lords and that would be even better. Hard to see finch moving to a rival BFL club. Geelong VFL have asked him to try out and going on past form would request he plays at GFL level.
 
There is no way Finchy and Meesen will leave. They have previously been offered to go to Newtown but knocked it back and they have strong family ties at the club. The Lords just won a flag up bush and are staying there for next year also.

No chance Finch going to Port, Meesen and Mamalis both playing in Melbourne where they live.
