"Ben's condition improved significantly overnight and medical staff at the Epworth saw fit to release him from hospital this afternoon," said a relieved Craig Cameron after perhaps fearing the end was nigh for the Champion Brownlow Medalist.

Cousins, 32 requested he be tested for illicit drugs and was cleared this afternoon by the AFL and AFLPA, indicating his admission to intensive care was a warning to all AFL players that if you spew your guts up too often on the field it may have negative side effects.

Cousin's Girlfriend, Maylea Tinecheff, was happy to tell the media throng that, 'He's good'. Maylea wore Ray-Ban wayfarers and a stylish black overcoat as she tackled the media scrum who waited in anticipation of perhaps.. a death.

Cousins requested a drug test and Batman to negate the expected negative reports from the dailys. Unfortunately Batman was unavailable but Epworth Hospital spokeswoman Colleen Coghlan said Cousins was in a stable condition.

Although an un-named spokesperson has claimed it was a worry that Cousins was out on a Sunday night.

Not sure about courage, but great to see Cuz get on the front foot and counteract negative press rather than hide and see the inevitable circus that would (has) result(ed).
