Hope Cuzzy is OK. Hate to see him lose it really badly.

The implication from the media is he is off the wagon. If so, very, very sad. By his own admission he is hopelessly in the grip of addiction; eternally struggling (when sober) with thoughts of a future without drugs.

Yeah, sounds like he is doing it pretty tough. Shame given he has a very young child.

There is no evidence that he's gone backwards. Until it can be proven that it is the case - there's even a strong possilbity he could have been at the clinic as a mentor to other addicts trying to kick the habit..after all he'd know.

The WA Today report in original link says he'd been seen appearing drug-affected in Perth and that the fall took place in a "private psychiatric hospital".

There's been other reports that he'd relapsed in previous months in Perth.

In an ideal world, we'd respect the poor bastard's privacy but this is 21st Century Australia and it is Ben Cousins so that isn't going to happen.

That said, the "public interest" defence for media publicising this is so thin as to be non-existant.

Why should they gloss over the truth?

Why is the Ben Cousins saga always the media's fault?

They shouldn't report it as fact until it is confirmed. The headline is misleading.

It was true. The headline was absolutely correct.

He suffered a "fall" in a hospital that specialised in drug rehabilitation. How he fell we dont know but its doubtful that he innocently slipped on a bar of soap. Its reasonable to assume he was off his head, or doing self harm, or a bit of both.

I am sick to death of the media being blamed for beating things up when 90% of teh time they are reporting fatcs.

I'm sorry but who said drugs were involved. With his daily struggles to stay sober it isn't out of the ordinary for him to visit the clinic.

But oh know because it's Ben Cousins it must be because he was high.

Stupid beat up.

Known any addicts?

Understand probability?

Such is Life.

You think some people seem to have everything in life. I feel for the guy, because life is viewed from an individual's perspective, and through a drug's perspective in the case of an addict. In a way, it says something for the guy that he is not content with fame and fortune alone. He knows he has a problem or he would not be getting treatment.

Footy players have to keep their bodies and their lives squeaky clean these days. The better you are the bigger the headline. I wish Ben the best of luck in making the transition to real life.

Such a tragedy, not saying there was drugs involved because I'm hoping he's cleane dup his act a bit since having his kid.

Hope for his and his families sake he can get better, not just from this fall but from any other problems he has at the moment.

The Hun itself says in the piece it is unconfirmed the hospital is rehab.

I suspect it is.

Until that time they shouldn't run misleading headlines.
