For all those who said his career was dead - I think it just got hit with a defibrillator. He was one of our best today, absolutely crucial to the win. He was the calm head running to the right spots all day.

was good today cuzz, was thinking he has a few weeks to build some form, this is one step in that direction, his encouragement at the break would have been invaluable...I saw him rallying the boys as they came in at half time

He was great today. Good to see him help out the young players. Very unlikely he will be retiring mid season like Simmonds.

We need someone like Cousins to help the team.

Great game Cuz:thumbsu: But, his experience showed in a game that was slowed dramatically and bought him into it. If he backs it up next week at the faster Etihad, then he is definitely back in town. Hope so.

He is a superstar, a gem and an intelligent footballer. He absolutely loves this shit and good on him. He deserves a massive pat on the back tonight, he showed exactly why he is a huge asset to our team.

Cuz, you are brilliant.

Time and time again ppl judge blokes too early but you should never fall for it when the player is a champion

He’s not out there to win a brownlow , he can no longer do what he did in 2005. He is a link player. He will block, shepherd he will watch the back of the young guys. Just like Kemp, Mckenna , Jakovich etc did for him while he developed and he will do same for the young guys. He ‘s not out there for his glory. He’s a team player. He will take the hits for the young guys just like he did in the Geelong game. If his body can hold out just a few more games it will help the young guys gain confidence to run with the ball, knowing someone is watching their back.

Anyone see the piece of play about 8 minutes into the first where he took possession of the ball and spun out of trouble?

I actually laughed it was that good.

Thought cuz was fantastic for you guys.

Here's a great stat - on a day when the average disposal efficiency for both sides was around 55 (51 for Port/61 for Rich), Cousins had the best efficiency of all players on the ground with 85%.

Pure class:thumbsu::thumbsu:
