Collingwood rookies that got promoted to list because of Buckley injury, has he been put back onto the rookie list? And if Anyone knows how he's going, generally I would love to know, cause he played local footy with me, just higher age levels. Always see him running around town, working his arse off and was just wondering what other Collingwood people thought of the young guy?

He seems like a real goer. Knows how to find the footy and was clearing the ball from centre bounces in his 1st or second game. I really like the look of him, but his disposal needs some work. If he can tidy up his kicking, I think he'll make it.

I assume David Fanning's been promoted to the senior list for Anthony Rocca, and Ben Davies for Rhyce Shaw?

Ben Davies is kinda like Mark McGough with pace. And even then, his kicking isn't as bad as McGough's was.

Ben Davies is not as good as McGough in close, but then again not many are.
O'Brien isn't far away from promotion either. O'Brien is an exciting prospect and the Collingwood/Willy staff have done well by playing him in the back half and giving him pretty big jobs rather than putting him in the forward pocket and telling him to kick flashy goals.

McGough is as one dimensional as they come in terms of extraction though. Davies is probably a better extractor than any of the young midfielders we have on the list.

And am I the only one thinking that O'Brien is being groomed as a McKenna-style half back?

Last week at Box Hill was the first time I've seen Harry in a match situation. I was really impressed with his ability to get a fist in for a late spoil. I don't think he was beaten one on one on too many occasions, if at all. The early reports on him all seemed to suggest that he looked lost on the footy field, but I thought he was far from that.
