Searched and didn't find a thread about him.

I just watched the Macaffer video and noticed him in it in Collingwood getup. I Googled and only saw a thread on Nick's asking the same question.

TD responded in that thread saying he's our kicking coach? Is that the case? When did this happen? Dixon was a genuine dead eye so I guess it's a good thing if they really did bring him in for that role.

Reading the thread title I though Dixon must have got pissed and somehow found himself in Collingwood. Same thing happened to me once. After an afternoon drinking session in Brunswick I found myself semi-naked in a front yard in Moonee Ponds, no idea how I got there.

I didn't know either.

Quick google search only came up with some random guy's twitter, from early November. He wasn't too pleased.

Would be interested to see if his accuracy improved throughout his career or if he took set shots from poor positions on a more regular basis than other KPF's etc to shine some light as to why the club thought he'd be a good solution. Sure 62% isn't horrible but it's a weird choice to go with.

A forward having a kicking efficiency of 62% is not poor at all.

Forwards consistently have the lowest kicking efficiencies by position because they have less space to kick into, less options, and those few options they have are under a lot more pressure and more often have to take it in a contested situation.

Dicko needless to say was obviously an excellent kick of the footy.

Is that field kicking efficiency though? I thought he was saying goal kicking efficiency was 62%.

If that was the meaning then I misinterpreted.

282 goals, 176 behinds I would categorise as good with nearly twice as many goals in his final two seasons as behinds at (63 goals 32 behinds).

So again I'm not seeing a problem.
