The last two times (2002 & 2003) we've played against the Cats Graham has bagged 5 goals . Given he'll be playing forward again who gets the job on him?

Graham - Zantuck (did a good job last time after half time when Graham cut up Holland in the first half)
Kingsley - Gas
Playfair - AK
Ablett - Newman

Interestingly we have 10 new faces in the side on Saturday night since last time.

I'ld have Gas on the best forward with that being Graham this week. I would think Kellaway would play on Kinglsey and leave Hall to sit on the bench. We really do lack another big man down back to support Gas...Hall is not the answer.

Alrite i just did a bit of research in this imporant game and this is my observations.

When u look at their forward line there is 5 talls and 1 small.

HF: Riccardi, Graham, Haynes
F: Gardiner, Playfair, Kingsley

You gotta remember that haynes kicked 4 goals against us last time when we played west coast and we were playing. So who is
going to paly on him.

I would do these matchups.

Riccardi (Height 183cm Weight: 87kg) (1G 1P anotha undadone?)
Chaffey (Height 180cm Weight: 82kg)

Gardiner(Height 188cm Weight: 96kg) (Done nothin all year)
Zantuck(Height 188cm Weight: 93kg)

Kingsley(Height 193cm Weight: 93kg) (5G 6P this year.)
A.Kellaway (Height 190cm Weight: 90kg)

Graham(Height 196cm Weight: 96kg) (1G but is he underdone?)
Hall (Height 196cm Weight: 97kg)

Haynes (Height 188cm Weight: 89kg) (No goals, alot of possesion)
Fiora (Height 186cm Weight: 80kg)

Playfair (Height 197cm Weight: 90kg) (3G 1P this year)
Gasper (Height 193cm Weight: 90kg)

And also you would think that we have the advantage in the midfield and the ruck department as even marsh would beat chambers would be a good matchup but if marsh is beating him all night put ottens up forward let the richmond faithfull see what he can do their and see what marsh can do.

Newman tagging corey in midfield
Chambers is 197cm - Marsh 201cm
Hartigan tagging Kelly in midfield (He can be dangerous)
Other than that i think ling will get kane johnson
and they tag brown and cogs and that should be it

Forward line will be interesting for this.

Their backline should outmark and out play us so we gotta keep the ball inside our 50.

Nathan brown comes to mind as kicking a bag. I just have a feeling that either him or zantuck or ottens will kcik a bag lets hope so aye.

This is how i would line up the forwards.

B: Harley, Scarlett, Sanderson
F: Shultz Ottens Brown

HB: Rahilly, Mooney, Milburn
HF: Krakouer Morrison Bowden

Harley would beat shultz, Ottens should be scarlett, sando and brown will be a good matchup. Krakouer would be better in midfield than rahilly, mooney and morro will be a good one as both are hard palyers and bowden should beat milburn.

Thoughts?

You're correct kretchy -Ablett's out.

I wouldn't have Hall on Graham wrenny. Graham and Kingsley are Geelong's two best forwards and as we saw last week with Gehrig and Riewoldt Hall struggled. Hall on Playfair at best.

In the midfield start with no tags and only use one if a Cat starts getting alot of the ball. On form I would have Krakouer in the middle. The corresponding match last summed us up pretty well. Played 3 quarters of short indicisive low-scoring cr@p footy then come out in the last, play direct, and slam on 7 goals in no time to almost pinch an undeserved win.

Up forward when Otto's in the ruck I wouldn't mind trying Bowden at FF. At 188cm tall he can play as a leading "tall" and he knows how to find the footy. Otto can move to FF when he's resting..

Graham has also bagged the 6 Brownlow votes from our past 2 meetings. Graham, Sanderson and Riccardi all come back into the side just in time to play us ... dammit.

Graham's recent record against us is concerning, although it is of some comfort that the two players he beat in those matches (Vardy, Holland) are no longer at the club.

I'd go with Gaspar on him as first choice - I thought he improved last week after a dire first couple of rounds.
