Nobody picked him up which shows it was the right move for Essendon to let him go.

Will be interesting to see if he does enough in the VFL and works on parts of his game to be a mid season draft chance.

Question guys - looks through the 2021 draft i got curious to what happened with this guy. You pumped games into him, 65, which is way more than any of our 5 x 2021 guys have played. He had reasonable statlines, although a bit "meh".

Why was he cut & what were your reflections on him as a player. Was he no good, unlucky etc

He was incredibly unlucky to have been drafted by Essendon.

Slow, can't kick and could only play midfield effectively where he was overtaken by Duz and Caldwell

He was incredibly unlucky to have been drafted by Essendon.

Sadly I think both our clubs are becoming the place where promising careers go to die

I'm yet to run into a supporter group that's deep in a rebuild that doesn't think that. Yeah, some will, but that's just general attrition. As long as your stars prospects aren't, no biggie.

I was surprised WC didnt recruit Hobbs. I would think hes a better option than Macrae who they picked up, but maybe Macrae is quicker than him?

I think anyone is quicker than him. Plus hes short af

Hobbs is not suited to the modern game one of his biggest deficiencies is his slow decision making

Brad Scott doing the same thing to Sharp.

Pump games into him but as a half forward flanker where his strengths are diminished and his weaknesses exposed.
