I rate Hobbs higher than Jhye Clark, and he's still on Geelong's list.

Unsure where his future lies. Would have to think he'll stay on the list or get a go elsewhere at the very least.

We’re pretty flush for inside mids with poor skills unable to get a game. (Elijah, Hobbs, Shiel, Parosh shouldn’t be a guarantee starter)

Even more so with the mids likely available at one of our two top 8 picks currently (Dyson Sharp, Ollie Greaves, Willem Duursma)

TBF, Ned Long probably wouldn’t be playing senior football if Collingwood had any other decent mids under the age of 26 not named Nick Daicos.

Not sure about that. We didn't have a hard, big bodied mid, so he got his chance.
Doubt it had anything to do with age. Probably more about Mitchell and JDG being injured for a large portion of the past 2 seasons. Isn't that just part of the game?

Every club has positions they need to better fill. We haven't specifically drafted for that role. Long earned his opportunity and the team is better for it. What it shows is that there are many ways to build and improve a list.

Clubs like St Kilda should stop complaining about how unfair it all is when the comp today offers more avenues to find players.
