Copeland my..arse.

Fraser, Swan, Didak, Heath Shaw, Clement, Buckley, Obree, Holland all in front of him for mine.

Johno just cant and dont win the hard and contested ball.

With our lack of ability in this area it stands out like dogs balls.

Maybe around 9th in the copeland for mine, needs to work on winning hard and contested footy which is still one of the most important aspects of footy.
Biggest load of **** I've ever heard!!!
LMAO, you will be eating your words in just 2 days buddy!!
You need to watch his season again before making such stupid comments.
1, Johnson is a hard player, and ISN'T scared to go in
2, EASILY, top 5 finish.
3, I dont think much people would know of any weaknesses in Johnson's game other then disposal... We all know his strength and thats his pace.

Ben Johnson needs to convert his good starts into full seasons of quality before he can lay any claim to being a top line player. Before that he needs to improve his disposal. He has improved his kicking a lot but it is still inconsistent and the helicopters still come out a bit too often. If O'Bree finished above him in the Copland, which would not surprise me in the least, it will be symptomatic of our problems in that it will tell us all exactly what the coach values and what he doesn’t devalue. Johnson is much more valuable than O’Bree. He’s harder, faster, better skilled and more positive. O’Bree has one very good quality. He can read the play. It gets him a lot of ball and when he’s forward it gets him into goal kicking positions. If Leon Davis had that quality of O’Bree’s he’d be a gun. If Tex Walker had it he’d be a super star. If if if. Too many flawed footballers and too many non footballer athletes. At least Ben Johnson has a black and white heart.

Johnson had a reasonably consistant season, he may have fallen off a bit halfway through the year, but his first half was so good. If he was any more consistant he would be a shoe-in for AA.

He played midfield/wing alot this year. More than he played HBF.

Johnson should easily finish top 3.

Ben Johnson was stepping up as one of our top line midfielders in 2004 before struggling with injuries this year.

With Brodie, Rhyce and Johnno all a part of our best midfield, I don't know that our need for pace in the middle is actually all that pressing. We need class, no doubt, but pace is not necessarily the #1 concern.

Of course, Collingwood fans would rather scream that the sky is falling than acknowledge injuries...

Brodie
Rhyce
Johnno
Thomas
Pentilbury

(not a bad midfield)
