There should be a 'will get off,' 'should get off' implies that what he did was not worthy of a few weeks, but that doesn't mean the tribunal will give him them.

If he gets anything less than 4 I will be amazed.
Was just about the most dangerous intentional hit that I've seen in a long long time.
The tribunal seem to be trying to clamp down hard on these types of hits to try and eradicate them from the game, and as such they should make an example of him.

Probably deserves 5 weeks - Hard to tell what the tribunal will do though.
Nothing surprises me. I've seen Collingwood supporters give a standing ovation to someone linked to hard-core crime, and jeering opposition players playing their 300th. It's just how they are.

Surely this question has to be irrelevant.
What if someone laid an fair hit that DID end someone's career, somewhat in the vein of the hit on Kosi last year? Should they be banned from the game forever?
The bump was bad, and it will be penalised as such (I've already said probably deserves 5-6 weeks), but hypothetical discussions about the possible dangers of the bump can't influence the decision.
Do we penalise any charge to the back even further because the guy could have lose a kidney?
Blake Caracella had his career ended by a head high bump and didn't even get a free kick, let alone Notting getting reported.
