I was with Johnno and Heater this week and both boys look fantastic. Heath has dropped 4kgs and is down to 82kgs and Johnno is super trim, he is determined to get back in the side. Both boys drank only water and did'nt touch a slice of pizza.

Clarke is the one that would go upfield, I don't like him down back.. he's a traffic player.. time to develop him

Smiddaz (Not picking on you) and others that don't see it. You've got to realise that we can't have 22 18-21 year olds out there. We're struggling for on-field experience and leadership, and thats exactly why he is just as much a chance to get into our 22 as a youngster.

I personally think, if he is for real, and has gotten himself back to top fitness as well as decent form on the track, he is easily ahead of players like McCarthy, Cook and Cox in our 22 from the last game last year.

Please don't kid yourselves and live on potential, because it is STILL 2008/9, they are still 18/19/20 and they cannot have the same impact on an AFL game as a fit and firing 26/27 year old Ben Johnson.

It can't be allllll about youth and quality youngsters. As I said, if he is for real, he is easily ahead of a number of youngsters in our starting 22, only if they aren't tearing it up themselves, which is unlikely as they're still developing their own games.

I think he will be given a shot early in the season to prove himself but if he fails to do so after rounds 5-8 MM will quickly look to others to fill his role. I have very little faith that he will get back to his best but i would love to be proven wrong.

I'm in the "best year yet" camp as far as Johnson is concerned.
He knows this is the year he has to deliver and from all outward appearances he is doing everything he can to prepare well.

That fact that Did's and Heater have had acid put on them seems to hae infected a few others least of all Johnson and the whole crew seems very focused and serious about turning around their various bad form and or bad behavior.

They all look and sound totally committed and this can only bring improved output. It is a great environment for the new recruits to get their first look at Collingwood

Go Pies.

Just watched Anzac Day again... Johnson - first goal of the day :thumbsu: Ran like a trooper and was a great link-up.

Not bad for a tub 'o lard. Go and kick some this year, Benny J
