If you imagine we have the INGS, plus a resting ruck, then neither Membrey or battle fit in the forward line. They either go back, get traded or go to Sandy. But yeah I doubt we'd get much for them.

GWS have brought in about 10 first round midfielders since then. Why would they want another midfielder? Or why would Gresham want to go somewhere that wouldnt play him in the midfield?

Are we taking the piss? Why would we weaken our midfield as the better teams are making them stronger.

Caddy is a hack. Roo went damn close as you well know, close enough to prove that the best forward in the country can drag you to a GF at least. If the Kings really turn out to be as good as we hope then we'd be crazy not to try. BING wants to come to us for god's sake.

If Membrey and Battle can make a spot theirs then they would stay. I like both of them but I don't see how they'd fit in the forward line.
It really doesn't matter what we each think. it will happen and we will be lucky enough to watch it unfold.

Roo dragged us to a grand final? Really. We had Hayes dal bj Milne etc and the best we have had didn’t get it done. It will happen? No worries just like it was happening before he signed his last contract.

With all due respect that game in 2009 was a game where just about everything had to go right for Geelong to win and it just so happened it did. We could’ve played better in that grand final. I don’t think the cats could’ve. They were amazing that day. Almost couldn’t fault them. In fact I’d probably say that premiership side was the best one of the last fifteen years - certainly since the Lions three peat days and given who they had to beat to get the job done.

Hannas 2 weeks and Carlisle will both finish up this year so cap shouldn't be a problem

Yes but my point is simple. No player means you win a grand final and to suggest mediocre players can’t help you win grand finals is crazy stuff and membery isn’t mediocre anyway. If we get king and lose billings and our first rounder then I think it’s crazy move but then I do rate midfields as how grand finals are won these days. I’m sure there are examples when that’s not case but on the balance of probabilities I think they do win it.

He's dreaming. Gresham is not worth a first. Not even a pick upgrade in that rnd.

Why do you think it weakens our midfield though? He's not an AFL level mid. Even before he got injured, i thought the experiment was nearly over.

I think your memory is failing you. He started the year very well and is certainly an AFL level mid and a good one at that.

I’d suggest they get it very close but like you saying that and proving you wrong it’s impossible to prove one way or another. All I know is most have great contacts in player managers.

The old arguing for the sake of it. What a load of crap. I’ve been consistent for at least 2 years that I wouldn’t chase king because it would cost to much and as I’ve said I think mids win you grand finals. Said that for a fair few years Trolling. An oldie but complete crap. Trolling would mean you don’t believe what you say. I couldn’t be more honest with what I’m saying.
