Shai Bolton didn't seem to be much of a team-oriented player.

I reckon he's more a rebound defender Shai Bolton. If he wanted a Rioli clone we should probably have grabbed Daniel last year or grabbed Willie

Hey good on the kid for winning it on the day and also for winning a premiership medallion:thumbsu:.
But has there ever been a Norm Smith medalist butcher the ball so much??
I thought half his kicks were clangers.

He said as much himself... JJ apparently watch the GF for the first time recently & was disappointed with how many turnovers he caused

Hoping JWeb can step it up at half back and we could really use it.

Dempster, Geary, Brown not exactly brilliant users of the footy

I reckon we need to move JWebb to a wing this year maybe Rooey is holding that up for him though. Savage, Robbo, Gears and Montagna are a pretty fair haul of smallish backs and with Brown in too it pushes Dempster onto another mid sized forward. I can see him struggling to win a place in the backline unless injury hits.

How many AFL games will Long play in 2017?
From the polls Persevering Saint ran he's not picked as a first 22 in fwd or def atm.
Picked on Richo's needs so may increase his chances a bit.
Thinking 6 to 12

If he was drafted Last year I would say one or two but barring a bad run with injuries I doubt he will debut.

He's built like a 15 year old!
His uncle was built like a 15yr old his whole career and he did alright.
But unfortunately now he's built like a school bus full of 15yr olds.

All of Bulldog supporting family was saying the exact same thing at a BBQ yesterday.

What was for sweets - sour grapes?
Nope. Genuinely happy for my long suffering family. Genuinely happy for my district.
Only let them play the Bulldog theme song twice though.

My family are born and bred Footscray people and they all want the Saints to win a flag.
In 09 and 10 they were on our bandwagon to a person.
They epitomize a Dogs supporter to me. Some campaigners on here but blokes like Fat Tony and Compact 72 are the good types I am on about.

Oh, you mean " everyone's favourite AFL captain" as spruiked by SEN?
Also Gerard and Robbo's love child. #sobrave *

* he does seem like a nice guy but he's not MY favourite captain, thank you!

Yep. Plus I hate the thought of us trying to emulate others. Back ourselves to play our way and **** the rest

Kennedy for me. Quite easily.

Surprised the Bont wasn't given it, just for being the Bont.

Yep clearly Kennedy for me, then Picken, then Boyd.

Best first half of a Grand Final I've seen from a player for a while. Dogs had to change their stoppage gameplan and hang off him for the second half to try and curb his influence and he was still one of the best out there. Best player on Grand Final day isn't always on the winning side, I feel like this year was one of those times.

Would also love to know what the club plans for him or see's him as? Small rebounding defender, wing or forward.
