Depends.

What happens will happen but I think there will be some change. I know Rutten was driving the car this year but it had L plates on and the bloke in the passenger seat was telling him which route to take and also had a brake pedal to stop the car veering off in another direction.
The interesting thing for me is can he get the buy in from the players. He is obviously pushing a style we have not been comfortable playing for a long time so will they move on the blokes who can not jump on board ?

I know we live in a world of pr and spin and carefully manicured photo ops and focus group based initiatives... But, having began with that pretext I do actually think this incarnation of a coach is actually trying to change culture from the ground up.

I know most hate going back to Sheedy but it's what he did, took charge of a middling club, shook it up, changed the culture, made them professional, made it a joint to be proud of. In a few years they went from joke to feared. He started by stripping the list, brought in his type of player, drove standards, even painted the rooms. Nothing superficial, every change calculated to the Sheedy manifesto.

We have had coaches since who said lots of words but changed nothing.

I think truck might be different, he's began a list strip, out with that flakes, he's driving new standards, looks to be changing things at ground level (even to the point of players entry points, training facilities)

I feel like this is the revolution we have been wanting and needing.

It would be helpful if this sort of story wasn’t released during membership season of course, but it’s certainly an unexpected move.

I like to think it’s clear to Truck that the players don’t bleed for the club the way they should and he’s rolled up his sleeves to try to do something about it. I am an optimist though...

Doesn’t make a lot of sense considering both Daniher and Fantasia already had one foot out the door the year prior.

That only leaves Saad which is perfectly believable considering the earlier reports of him not wanting to play as a lockdown.

That said the article just feels like an excuse to have a crack at us, his source sounds like it might as well have been Saad’s second cousins best mates girlfriends uncle.

Yeah I agree it's a pretty terrible article.

There was some noise about Daniher not being happy about having another new coach when he first tried to leave but does seem a bit of a stretch.
