welsh and hudson are'nt greedy, they are just securing their futures. if your coach rated them he would have given them the length of contract they wanted, they havent left for more money.

And in the overall scheme of things, he may be, but lets not forget Hudson has gone thru a serious knee injury and to give a guy who's just had his knee reconstructed a 3 year contract wouldn't have been too smart. We took the safe option and offered him 2, which is more than generous in his situation, but he got greedy and didn't get what he wanted so he left.

Mate the simple answer to your question is that the only proof we have of Ben Rutten's signing is the overwhelming logic of:
He's reported back at Pre-Season Training.
The Media has not reported anything about him not signing, which would no doubt be unusual enough to warrant attention.
He's a great clubman whose supported the Crows his whole life.
Having said that there is no concrete linkage proof to show an article about re-signing. However there is no linkage proof to indicate that any problems about re-signing exist.
We also have anecdotal evidence (which may be complete crap) that Ben re-signed shortly after the Grand Final, hence the lack of coverage.
