Just heard on the radio that former WCE Ben Sharpe has been charged and pleaded guilty of Armed robbery, possession of drugs, fire arms and other offences.
According to his lawyer it is due to the WCE drug culture that this all happened as the 3 years he spent on the list turned him into a drug addict.
Really?? 10 years later it is still the WCE fault.
How long are people and ex players going to blame their personal failings on the West Coast Eagles drug culture??

In all seriousness, I should probably hold back on firing out insults to him, everyone was pretty quick to abuse Chicky when the media came out with all his crap, but having him jump on here and tell his side of the story made most accept what he said and sympathise with his issues.

The most annoying thing about all this is the "West Coast Drug Culture" banner.
NO NO NO. It was an "AFL DRUG CULTURE"
Dale Lewis let the cat out of the bag and was ridiculed by all and sundry.
The Club that had the injunction put n place so it couldn't be named,(Nice Flags) had multiple multiple positive tested druggies.

It wasn't just us but we became easy targets after Benny boy so all focus went to us.

The story I heard is that Gary was next in line for the spliff when everyone was just chillin after a big party, but Cuz skipped him and gave it to Mainy instead, so Gary's been pissed off ever since, It is also the reason why he slept with his best mates misses 10 years later and has had mental health issues.
