About an inch taller than his older brother, standing at 194cm and 84kg, Ben's final year of junior footy mirrored Jack's 2018 campaign in many ways. Both started the year forward, but due to a number of factors finished the season finding a new home in defence.

The Blues have picks 69, 71 and 77 late in the draft, so matching a bid somewhere similar for Ben shouldn't be an issue. Not that they've made any promises just yet.

Nice little article that some Carlton fans might enjoy, another Silvagni set to wear navy blue.

Would not be surprised to see Dodoro bidding on him, as he did with Jack. Though I doubt Essendon have any intention of actually recruiting him :p

Dodo nominating Jack Silvagni with the pick before Carlton was one of the greatest trolls in draft history.

The smirk on Dodo's face and Silvagni's eye roll says alot about both mens friendship.

I think he did it out kindness to some extent also.

Probably to make Jack think that there was interest in him from another club, and he wasn’t getting picked solely on his surname.

Also helps with the ethics of drafting your own kid and whether you’re over/underrating him just because he’s your son. Validates it a bit.

The boy can play footy, just needs some time to adjust to the hype and pressure of expectations, about 194/195cm so first few years will be awkward.
Just image when all three brothers are Baggers, Silvagni name is an important assets for CFC.

Dodoro was protecting his own interests plain and simple, maybe having a cheeky jab at the old enemy along the way was the cherry on top. Essendon still made two selections after Silvagni and in nominating him 1) Made Carlton select him there and then rather than as a rookie when they were always going to draft him and 2) Weren't able to select anyone else, hence mitigating the risk of drafting anyone left on Essendon's list.

How old is the youngest one? Jack would need decent improvement to be on your list if a few years time.

Tom Silvagni will be drafted 2020, don’t know too much but one can only presume he follow like his brothers before him.

Jack is improving his sprinting and running patterns already so competition is heating up has determination, a good footy IQ can do the Silvagni special now and then. But agree with you incoming Sam Walsh this year and maybe Rowell next and it won’t be easy after 2020.

I am not so convinced. Think Tom will be more a mongrel , just going on what Jack himself said about two years ago. Asking a lot to expect 3 brothers to all make it just because some previous generations were good enough to be elite. I think Jack will be a very good footballer when his size has filled out more around 23 years old. Ben being taller has more scope to play key position so will be interesting to track his progression.

My guess is Jack and Ben will make it. Tom will just be a good suburban footballer.

Jack = Jason Cloke
Ben = Cameron Cloke
Tom = pray he turns out to be anything like Travis Cloke

Jack is developing into a smart and versatlie hard running one touch player tackles and kicks goals - can play anywhere on the ground. Good for depth.

Ben is tall - around 196 will get to 198..he is a key position player will take time and need a replacement for Casboult eventually.

Tom is an interesting one and just let him develop as he was a goal kicking machine under 14s think he has been injured or protected by his parents this year.. he is just a kid.

Problem being he only gets one touch ha!

Just on ben zero chance he gets drafted without the name but goodluck to him

Bit harsh - didnt have the best of years but has upside and at pick 77 odd we could do worse. We need a kid with some ability and football smarts to take over Jones at full back eventually as well.
