Not too sure about longwoods changeroom, but the visitors would be up there with the worst in the league. having to walk through the mens tiolet to get to them, on a wet day the tiles can get pretty slippery. Last time we were there there was not enough water pressure to have one shower working adequately.

I dont think you can say very much, yours and Bonnie Doons would be equal last. So at worst Longwoods would be mid range!
Bonnie Doon worst and Tatong Same.
Swanpool and Goorambat not too bad.
At least you get a clean room with carpet at Longwood!

Thanks for your thoughts Tusken, but actually I have spent a bit of time in both camps. But lean towards neither. And if you think the Longwood change rooms and their facilities to host the opposition team after match are better than the Avenel set up then you are biased!
As for having to be a history boffin to have my say on bigfooty, sorry mate, somewhat irrelevant unless the last time they had a relationship the circumstances were the same as this time. Ie: Longwood's league about to fold whilst Avenel going ok. Please feel free to impart your knowledge on the last time Tusken of course.
Finally, to the others starting to argue and defend best and worst facilities, even the higher leagues battle to get it right. I remember showering in 3 inches of urine at tatura one day.
And to you Roger, you don't seriously want to compare the surfaces of the two grounds in question do you?

I'm not biased at all. You stated Longwood's after match facilities left a lot to be desired. Avenel has a very good ground, and Longwood's community centre set up is a far better after match facility than Avenel's. Not quite sure how you can genuinely argue otherwise. We're not comparing the two club's respective fire drums!

And, no, you don't have to be a history boffin to have your say, but you talk like it could/would never happen. I just asked you to do some research. So to make it easy for you, here you go:

The history of it isn't irrelevant. What we can be sure about and obviously both agree on is that merging would be the last thing any club would want to do.

That narrow stainless steel shower with the long pipe as a shower head is actually a urinal Ross.

hey there cellar dwellar i have watched your post very closely over a period and it seems to me that not only do you bag the benalla league you also bag every other league that you visit as for chris dunne i dont think you have a very good sourse. there is a couple of broadford boys heading over to the doon and the reason we are going is because of mateship and to hopefulty bring some success to the club. we have all enjoyed some success at broadford in one way or another and this strikes us as another challenge:)

Transfers are looking fairly quiet, apart from Bonnie Doon.
Longwood had their first real hit out last Fri and with 25 on the track they may have started a little later than others but seem to have good numbers. The Longwood ground is looking very green as the dam is full. How are the other grounds going without rain? I would imagine Tatong and Goorambat wouldnt be too bad. Swanpool's ground wouldnt be looking the best would it? Havnt been to nillacootie for a ski this year, so havnt had a look.

Roger gleagues draw this week First roubd is 12th Of April with Tatong hosting Longwood and Swanpool Hosting Doon.
As for the grounds Goorambat is looking good, Tatong from reports is dying off and close to a dust bowl to the oposite end of the club house and Swanpool looks dry. Have not seen Doon's and only read on Longwoods on here.:thumbsu:

What are the teams doing for practice matches?

Longwoods ground is watered regularly as the dam is full. What water do other grounds have available?

Tatong are playing the Benalla Saints Night series against a couple of O&K sides (and I think Undera).
